Meet Lauren ~ Trustee ❤️🙏🏆
“Lauren has worked in a number of compliance/governance roles surrounding government funded training for schools, colleges, universities, and councils.
She has a 3 year old son and has first-hand experience of living with an addict in the form of her partner. She has lived and breathed what it is like to go through the process of coming to terms with what feels like an impossible situation, and she is an example of there always being a light in the darkest of times if you dig deep enough; She has sought out numerous tools to support her own healing process that do work. She is extremely passionate about spreading this message and being a part of de-stigmatising conversations around addiction for people who are affected by this indirectly in their lives.
Lauren started attending Better Way Recovery Family Support group in early 2022. Her journey is impressive, arriving at her initial meeting in a very emotional state, she applied everything that was being taught in the group and is now in her own recovery, because she realised she had become addicted to the addict.“
